Unfortunately, the sparky installed some lower power heat/exhaust fans (and hence cheaper) than we specified in the bathrooms. We've reported the "mistake" and are awaiting the result.
Here are some photos of the re-bricking and the kitchen glass splashback that has been installed:
The front of the house protected from the elements with Enviroseal. Good idea considering the weather this week. The fascia board still hasn't been replaced and now has "Dune" roof capping.
The side of the garage up to the side door has been done.
The alfresco area and rumpus room are coming along
We asked for Clipsal 375W heat/fans and these are HPM 275W heat/fans (you can see the HPM logo if you look closely)
The kitchen splashback has been installed. The photo doesn't really do it justice.

Hi jamiet,
EB are installing 2-lamp ones for us. Were your Clipsal 4-lamp fittings an upgrade & did you upgrade because fo the size of your bathrooms or you just didn't like HPM for some other reason ? Thanks
Quiklec, their electrical constractors use mostly Clipsal gear so we looked for a specific Clipsal model of heat/fan. The models we specified have 375W heat lamps whereas most of the other models and brands are 275W. 375W is recommended if your ceiling is higher than 2400mm.
These fans were an upgrade.
If you don't mind me asking, how much was it to upgrade to the 375W? Thanks.
We were quoted just under $300 for two. However, there's been a stuff-up so they might have originally underquoted us. They still have to supply the right models though.
The retail price from Clipsal's site appears to be around $300 each for the 2-heat version and around $450 each for the 4-heat version after Clipsal's latest price rise.
I love your site. I love reading it and can't wait for the updates. I wanted to build an Eden Brae but they don't build in my area. With all your hassles, I wonder if you had the choice, would you build with them again. Can't wait to see more pics.
Lisa
Thanks for your kind comments, Lisa.
If we ever built again, we would probably go with a custom builder. A custom builder will normally provide superior service.
